I got 8hrs and 46 mins of SOT with the default FHD. Yesterday I got 8 hrs plus as well so it's not an an anomaly.

Is the 10nm snapdragon that much more efficient than the 14nm snapdragon 820?

I used to get 6hrs of SOT on the galaxy 7 edge with a bigger battery and smaller screen.

People saying the 835 is only incremental upgrade over the 820 are not taking into account the efficiency and are just looking at speed and power.

Most impressed with the display and battery life so far with this phone.

I unplugged about 6:30 A.M. and got home from work and the gym about 7:15pm with 46 % left.

I have 2 gmail accounts and an exchange account synced. I was Bluetooth connected to my smart watch all day. I watched YouTube for a couple hours and surfed the net, and streamed music for a few hours.

I'm pretty impressed. The s7 edge actually had really good battery life, but the S8+ has a smaller battery and bigger screen so I expected it to be worse.

Is there a way to see how much SoT you have for the day or are you estimating?

I have resolution on WQHD+ for the day, so interested to see what I get.

I have the regular S8.

Not sure on SoT, but I unplugged at 0730, and with moderate use, including watching most of the LSU game at the bar, I'm at 49% at 1745. Color me impressed.
