First deals on new TV models?

The first new Samsung TV models for 2021 are arriving. Samsung is trickling in and Sony, LG are expected next week.
Salesmen are saying the current 2020 models will correspondingly dip in price until they run out of stock.
But I am interested in the ‘21s —particularly the Sony 85-inch J models.
So when, normally, do the new models go on sale — please don’t say Black Friday. Memorial Day? July 4? Can any current, former salesmen chime in?

Black Friday, Xmas, Super Bowl, and when the new models come out are when they will be at their best price.

I have followed a few high end TV’s for the past few months and so far the best price I have seen was Black Friday. It might be different for lower models but for the higher QLED and OLED I haven’t seen a better price than during Black Friday.

My Costco has an open box 65'' LG CX OLED for $1550 and its so hard not to grab that thing for the price.

Its going to be a few months until the manufactures start offering rebates to the dealers and its usually on the mid models first

The crappy thing is, manufacture rebates get discoed after new models start to roll out. They end up cost more. so its usually summer until this happens as well

Should we expect the older models to go onsale next week? Moving into my new house this week and shopping for a 65". Was about to buy the x900h and it just went back up to $1400. Was $1199 last week and $999 for Christmas. My 55" LG we got when we bought our old house 11 years ago and is still going strong. Going to move it to the bedroom.
If not the x900h, will be in the market for a comparable 65" model for 1000-1200

It was an odd sales year. Black Friday prices were never duplicated or closely matched for Christmas Week, Week After Christmas or Super Bowl weeks.
Demand and/or supply must have been strained somehow. Maybe people staying home more upped demand.
Sorry I passed on the Sony 65 X900H sales for $970.

Not a bad deal; it was $7000 last week. Especially for an 8K.
I do not want a 2020 model for several reasons and would be content with 4K (maybe).
Hoping to keep price to right at $5K.
