Everyone ready to jump on the next Cad Fad? Home Automation Thread v2

Abandon hope ye who enter here.
Just wanted to say I'm so very happy with my hubitat. The scripting abilities and developer community are amazing. They seem to have worked out an 'armistace' with smartthings and benefit from github drivers posted for ST. You can just import those apps and drivers natively into hubitat.

So far I've managed to get all of my wink garbage paired (TAPTs actually work! Trippers are back in business! Outlinks work!) with the exception of that dumb smart power strip. luckily i never bought the wifi piggy bank or propane monitor.
Automation rules are 100x more powerful. Local control is the shite and its a gorgeous experiment with everything from Sonos to Hue working like a charm.
Some of my favorite new features are
- Full control of Hue, Hue Groups and Scenes in hubitat
- creating 'virtual switches' so i can finally use alexa voice control to RAISE AND LOWER garage doors and LOCK AND UNLOCK all my door locks
- Text to Speech on Sonos

- Eliminating 90% of automation rules in Alexa I was gravitating towards when wink started shitting the bed. now i just use alexa as convenience when i want to trigger lights or something outside of the normal schedules or triggers.
- I turned my pile of old Wink hubs into zombies.

So far this has been a smashing success and I love that almost everything still works, even the wink hubs are limping along. I do have a few things (wifi crap I've bought here and there) that has to be controlled through Alexa that I don't care for and will probably be replacing with zigbee or zwave alternatives.
The next phase will probably be me replacing all my zwave device with zwave plus (700 series hopefully) so my network will be much more robust. Apparently your network needs all plus devices to take advantage of the increased bandwidth and range of the plus series.
So here's to another epic Cad thread! Check back with me in 2 years when this whole system fails spectacularly!

Did you specify what system you moved to? is it STs? Why go there when you next move should have been HomeAssistant?

complete shite.
i pull them out about once a year and put them in lights and set them up on a schedule using the app and then get pissed when they don't follow it because my phone is out of range.
you can buy a little c by ge plug in adapter to give you 'permanent bluetooth' so they'll work but i'm throwing up a little bit in my mouth just suggesting that.
