Eufy camera “animal” setting

I apologize if this has been discussed here at length but does anyone here have the solar eufy outdoor cameras and if so do they have an “animal setting”? I ask because we have Arlo, and while the app is not my favorite, the biggest issue is there is no way to shut off notifications for animals. I came back to my desk with 50 notifications and my dog just standing in the back yard. Also drains the battery super quickly.

I'm not sure on Eufy, but with Ring cameras you can set alerts to only go out when a Human is detected or if someone presses the doorbell button. It will still capture motion detected, but cuts down on the notifications.

I have some Eufy cameras and yes, you can tell it you only want notifications for humans. Of course, it won't be 100% foolproof and sometimes mistake a dog for a human, but it does pretty well.
You can also adjust the sensitivity so it's not going off for every little tiny movement. And you can snooze notifications - for instance I snooze when I'm cutting grass so I don't get nonstop motion detections.

Thanks for the feedback! Thought about going hardwired from one of those security companies but the cost is expensive in comparison. I’ve read good reviews on the eufy so will give it a shot. I like the ring and they have a great app but those are battery too from what I am reading. Trying to avoid having to charge them etc.

Yeah, hardwired over battery for sure if possible. I also had an Arlo (old owners left it with the house), but I got so sick of replacing the batteries. It burned thru them fast.
I got a eufy that plugs in and mounted it under the eave by my side door. It's only rated as an interior camera, but it doesn't get directly rained on, and it did fine in the snow storm. It was only like $35 so I figured it's not too costly to replace every few years if needed.

Are you handy at all? Do you have access to your attic? With Power over Ethernet cameras it's really not a difficult DYI job at all.
I bought my 80+ year of dad a Reolink system for Christmas with the idea of installing it while I was at their house over Christmas. He ended up putting up all the cameras except one. He's very happy with it so far.

Th e TP-Link Tapo cameras have pet detection feature that works well. I have never had it alert an animal incorrectly as a human.
