The e-mails were obtained off the CPAs actual website.
Does this mean that they signed up to receive deals and updates?
If so, you should be good. May also want to make it pretty clear that you're partnered with that company (if it's not your website that they submitted their email to). eg. "Special offer for CPA.com subscribers"
Let me know if you have any questions, I usually send emails to over 50k people at a time, and I have experience with MailChimp, Infusionsoft, and Constant Contact.
For simple batch and blast emails, I can't recommend MailChimp enough, they are the best for that.

No. I do not have permission to send them e-mail. I just got their e-mail off their website.
What about this plan of attack....
Day 1 - Send 10 emails via mailchimp
If no spam complaints or bounce backs I increase the volume every day.
Think that is pretty safe?

If I remember correctly, MailChimp may do that for you automatically (to save their own arse).
I know for a FACT Constant Contact and Infusionsoft both sent my fresh list out in batches to watch for spam complaints.

Yea, not going to happen. My users mark co-workers messages as SPAM in gmail.

To use an example, let's pretend these are all CPAs. I am promoting a free service that they would like.
Not sure if hypothetical, but I'm a CPA. What's the service? I won't mark your reply as SPAM.

It's not CPAs, but that will be the next industry.
I sent 100 emails today and had 75 sign up within 12 hours. No spam marks yet(that i know of).
ETA: 82 in 8 hours....not 12

Nice! Does this have to do with the study material website you mentioned a while back you were creating?
Posted on 2/9/17 at 10:26 pm to SLafourche07
It is related! Good memory!
Question about your profession...
Is there somewhere to obtain an e-mail list of CPAs for your State? Is that something that is possible to get?

I get a bunch of emails from "CPAdirectory". I'm not sure at what point I ended up signed up with them, but it's a ton of targeted emails ranging from Quickbooks ads to CPE websites.
This is apparently who has the list:
As far as finding a list on your own, I'm not sure.
