Who will use these and for what purpose? Is there a rental market for it in South Louisiana? From what I see so far, it's very impressive, especially with the pro cinematic file formats, frame rates, and available camera angles. Other features are also nice. All for the low, low price of $16k (complete package). Inquiring minds...

It hits that mid market that is between the expensive toys of $2k drones and professional movie/mapping drones of $50-100k.
No idea if it will sell. How is the battery/ies suppose to be?

quote:"The drone itself supports TB61 dual batteries that provide a flight time of up to 28 minutes." Not sure if that means 2x 28 minutes (total 56 minutes??) If so, thats huge.

Here's a nice review: LINK
Interesting: "It can record internally up to 8K 25fps in CinemaDNG as well as 8K 75fps in Apple ProRes RAW". I always shoot my stills in DNG (or RAW), but this is the first I hear about shooting it in Video.
The telemetry features are way cool... letting non-pilot bystanders monitor the action.

My DJI Mavic Air 2s has a 1 inch sensor, shoots in 5k at 30fps, shoots in 4k at 60fps, has cinematic mode, and has pre programed AI mastershots that get the perfect cinematic shot for you.
Mine cost $1000. I couldn't imagine paying for a $16000 drone for anything other than movie making.
The only drones I'm envious of are the ones with the thermal imaging cameras....which also cost a pretty penny. Seen a guy on Youtube that uses his thermal drone to track dead deer for hunters in Texas.

I just got the mini 3 pro but have been hesitant to really get into it until I feel comfortable with the controls and I’ve watched enough tutorials and all, and that’s just with a drone that cost me slightly over a grand, I’d be shitting bricks flying something that costs more than decently used cars.

I use the Air 2S for most if not all of my inspections, construction progressions, real estate, etc. Its a swiss army knife for the side hustle
I fly the M30T for Oil and Gas applications onshore and offshore and it is a BEAST. Ours came in right at that $16k mark too. The stability and zoom is absolutely unbelievable. The first time I flew it, the guy showing me around it said "Hey, zoom in on that door LOCK on that hotel roof over there." "Door LOCK?" "Yea, the door lock." So thats what I did. Zoomed in and locked onto the key HOLE and it didnt move an inch with about 13-15kt winds. Shot it with the range finder and it was 860ft away and crystal clear
Thats the day I understood the price point.
