Directv Now buffering

So I am trying to cut over to streaming only TV and had decided on DTVN. My wife has been complaining about buffering and pixelation that seems to happen randomly. I have been using Charter streaming on my TV's for months and have rarely had a buffering issue. This happens every few minutes which makes it pretty tough to watch anything.
Does anyone else have this and have this problem?

Yes. At first it was happening mostly on ESPN and it's channels. I have better luck watching the ESPN app. It seems to happen most frequently at night during peak watch times. 7-11pm. Mine is buffering as I'm answering this! Very annoying!

I have seen postings from searching and this has been going on for months it seems. I was ready to cut off my Charter cable and go all DTVN but I don't think there is any way I can justify it with buffering and no dvr. I paid the $140 for 4 months and a free apple tv, but the cost savings dont matter if i have a pissed off wife.

I have a friend who is participating in the DTVN beta DVR program and he is happy with it. He has Cox internet and claims to have never had any buffering issues. I have AT&T internet. I do not have fiber. I must say that I've been happy with DTVN about 95% of the time.

Unless Charter is throttling me, I don't see how I would only really have problems with DTVN but no other streaming app's. I have solid 60 meg download speed so am stumped on what else could be causing issues.

I have and use other apps with no issues. I talked to our IT guy at work who cut the cord a couple of years ago. He said Charter, Cox and AT&T fiber are good services. I only have access to Cox and AT&T. 60 megs is more than enough for what you are doing. I'm also at a loss on what's causing it. It is worse on certain channels. I know there's an AT&T guy that does installations that posts here. Maybe he can give us some answers.

What are you watching on? I have had the same problem when I’m watching on my Apple TV but have noticed if I switch to my firestick, the buffering is way less frequent.

buffering was pretty bad on my FireTV, happens a little on my Roku box, nonexistent on my Apple TV.
I read on a forum somewhere that it had been pretty bad across the board starting around mid-December.

I've been using DTVNow since it came out. I use it on FireTV boxes. I did notice issues the first several months. When I was having issues initially I noticed I needed to clear the cache on the app. As far as cutting the cord goes I use DTVNow for live TV and its credentials for apps. Since there isn't currently a DVR I use Terrarium (android only app). If my wife and 7yo daughter can find what they want easily anybody should be able to. Hell I brought out FireTV box to my parents while visiting and they decided to cut the cord that night.
Another side note about buffering... I had noticed my wifi devices were starting to have some issues recently so I did a factory reset on my router and all buffering and wifi drops are gone.

I just don't see how it could be a router issue. The Roku has been functioning extremely well for months. I am thinking this is out of my control and on the DTVN side.
Oddly my brother and dad both use DTVN and my brother is thinking about jumping off of it because of the buffering and pixelation. My dad (who lives a mile from me) loves it and has never had buffering issues. He watches the same channels that I do. The one outlier is that he uses ATT broadband.
Not saying there is any conspiracy of Charter wanting my DTVN experience being bad, just is interesting to try to troubleshoot.

I had the same issue with DTVN. It always began to buffer and never seem to stream in decent quality.
so I canceled it and sign up for an IPTV service and haven't looked back. I have yet to run into any issues since making the switch.
