Directv Box Malfunctioning

I have the HR24 DVR box for my living room and recently it started to not connect to my tv. I just get the no signal error message that appears if I go to a different source and don’t have anything connected to it.
At first I could unplug the box or reset and and it would run through the steps and connect back to my tv, but now I can’t do that. When I hit reset now it stays on 480p and I can tell that the fan is running on overtime, but it never does the start up process. Stays in the no signal screen.
When I hit buttons on the remote the box responds. Also it still records shows. I’ve connected to other hdmi ports and have tried a different hdmi cable, but it shouldn’t be those things as it used to work with a simple reset or unplug.
Really don’t feel like calling directv after working all day. Anybody got any tricks or tips?

Unplug the HDMI, press power button 3 times, down arrow twice, left arrow twice, hold the menu button down for 30 minutes and then replug the HDMI in. Finally, call DirecTV and tell them to send a new box. That should solve the problem.
