Direct TV Now and the free Apple TV

got it in. Damn Apple tv is wanting me to sign up for an Apple ID before i can even download the app. What kind of horseshite is this that they don't even ship the damn thing with the app already ready to go?
Also, can KODI be installed on this thing?

I have done this on my apple tv 4. I managed to get the app on the apple tv, but I never figured out what I am supposed to do after that. I know nothing about KODI FWIW

It's really not that difficult. Just sign up for an Itunes account. It takes a few minutes. I hooked one up for my brother and he had no idea what his password was and I had it done in 20 minutes.

This isn't Amazon sending you an Amazon Fire TV. AT&T can't just log-in for you on an app using another services log-in credentials.

Is the Apple TV at least a little smoother to navigate around? How's the overall layout? I knew what Fire TV stick offered (which is good enough), but I was hoping the ATV was just a little better since it's priced way higher.

Apple TV is great. Great navigation, awesome remote, and fast. I have had zero complaints.

Prepay for Directv Now, get the Apple TV and $150 gift card and if you don't like it use the gift card to pay for Vue.
