I have internet and cable tv. The cox coaxial cable runs both.I have cable in the attic and down the walls to 4 tvs. How can I connect antenna to the coaxial cable and not lose the internet? I disconnected the incoming coaxial cable, connected outdoor antenna and TVs worked fine but quite naturally lost the internet connection. Do they make a device that would allow me to use the same coaxial cable for internet and outdoor antenna. Can you do that with a regular splitter where the cable enters the attic? Don’t laugh I know I’m not tech savvy…. Thanks

What are you trying to accomplish with the antenna? Just trying to catch local channels? You could run a coax splitter to your router/modem and still plug in an HD TV antenna. Otherwise you might consider just going to streaming service like Sling or Fire TV.

need separate coax lines for antenna and cable TV/internet. You can run antenna signals over the same coax with satellite but not cable.

You need to have your incoming coax fed directly into your cable modem, and a separate splitter in the attic to connect the antenna to. My modem is in the basement and my antenna in the attic, so I disconnected the splitter I had in the basement and routed all my coax from the TVs up into the attic.
