My garage projector setup is with an Amazon Firestick. I have youtubeTV side loaded. I do have the ESPN app and Fox Sports app too. Looks a lot better in person than this compressed gif I did.

So you're essentially doing exactly what I was asking about then? You're streaming a live sporting event through your Firestick using your home WIFI and it's connected directly to your projector?

Yeah, I'd have never thought about this setup because I've had no use for those streaming devices before. My Tivo boxes have the various streaming services I currently use (Amazon Prime and Netflix) loaded as aps into their main page, so I just use that. And since I still have Cable I've never looked into these as a replacement for that stuff.

Seems like a solid work around for this problem...really appreciate all the feedback!

That is correct. The firestick plugs directly into the hdmi input port. I have a bose sound bar hooked up to the projector too using a 3.5mm aux cable.
