It only has composite(red, yellow, white), so I’m not sure how I’m supposed to use my wii.
I’m going to get and hdmi converter, but I don’t understand why my 10 year old tv has composite, component, and HDMI and a brand new tv only has composite and HDMI.

The Wii comes with composite cables packed in.

Obviously, composite sucks serious balls though...
Just get one of those Wii2HDMI adapters for 10 bucks.
Component is pretty much dead outside of hooking up old video games, most people aren't going to be using it, so it makes sense TV manufacturers are dropping it to save money. Kinda surprised it has composite though. My new LG C1 doesn't have any analog inputs at all, though it's no matter to me as I just use a RetroTINK-5X Pro for all analog connections.

Mine has component. I thought component with blue, green, two reds, and white was newer than composite? Says online it can show 1080p and composite isn’t able to do that.
Is component to hdmi or wii to hdmi the better option?

Because YPbPr video like you are wanting, is almost 30 years old. Why on earth would you include them on a modern tv?

Composite is older than component so why is composite on the tv and component not?

Originally the Wii came with composite. Maybe they did component as pack-in later, I'm not sure. I remember having to buy component cables separate for my Wii at launch time.
Composite spec is 480i only (or 240p, which is technically not spec), while component spec can do up to 720p/1080i.
But Wii is only capable of 480p maximum no matter what connection you use, so you won't get HD even with component cables. You will still get a lot better looking connection with component or an HDMI converter than composite.

If you don't have anything else to connect, the Wii2HDMI would be a better option because it just plugs directly into the Wii without any separate cables or power necessary. And it's cheap. But if you have other things you might want to connect, you might want to get the generic converter.

Composite connections were common from the 80s onward. There's a lot of old consumer electronics that use it.
Component was only really in widespread use in the early HD days, and equipment using component almost always had composite connections too (although it'd look shittier). It makes sense to me that if they had to pick one or the other, they'd pick composite, because it would be compatible with virtually everything analog, provided you have the right cable.

For work I had to buy a $20k piece of equipment to get away from component due to them not being made anymore
