Bose Soundtouch 300 Review

I had the Bose 3-2-1 system for many years and decided time to upgrade. This is for the family room, I'm way past free standing speakers and turning the family room into a quasi-man cave. Pictures and houseplants sit where I'd put additional speakers.
Also looked at the Sonos and read many reviews and Bose seems to win by the experts and by my untrained ear in the store. We live out in the country so a Wi-Fi network to have multiple rooms connected (Sonos big advantage) is out.
I got the soundbar, bass module, and the mini surround speakers. Almost didn't get the small speakers due to some reviews but glad I did. Set up was easy and ready to go in about an hour.
Music sounds good bluetoothed from my phone with Spotify. Its as loud as this 44 year old wants. Watched American Assassin first night and it does really good for what you are paying for. Watched part of Transformers movie last night and can hear things flying around in all directions; the bass module is the best part, could feel it in the granite countertop in the kitchen. Kids thought it was cool (point for dad).
For the money spent, the limited space used, and the sound, I'm satisfied. It was an upgrade in sound and volume, didn't irritate the wife with bulky speakers and wires, and I didn't have to drill holes and run those wires.

I prefer the Bose soundbar 300 to the Sonos playbar too.
Bose's Soundtouch line is their answer to Sonos. If you had wifi you could add speakers, amps, and preamps just like Sonos. They have their versions of the play 1,2, and 3 plus connect and connect amp.
