I’m having some issues with connecting to sync from my iPhone. My phone works fine on Bluetooth but when I try to play music it will play music on my phone and not through car speakers. If I used the voice command and say “Bluetooth audio” it says no Bluetooth device found. (I’ve used that method in different ford vehicles and it always connects immediately). I’ve done the reset to factory settings and it works fine until I turn the car off then it craps out again. Does anyone have any suggestions? Could it possibly be a bad fuse? TIA

i would suggest try a different device so you can narrow the issue down to either the iphone or SYNC itself.

what year ford? i was able to go to the ford site and find updated firmware for the sync system i have; LINK (my version is 4.6) downloaded it to a USB stick and followed the instructions to update my truck. it helped fix some issues so you may want to try that too.

just find your vehicle VIN and then plug that in on the ford website i linked and it will tell you if there's an update available.

I've had nothing but issues with mysync in my 2014. Brought my car in to the shop and they had to update the software and now I can't speak into my phone using Siri, so now I don't have voice control while driving. BT, Sirius go out intermittently for days at a time as well.

Yeah I've got a 2014 as well. I was having so many issues with the Bluetooth that I just quit using it completely. Maybe try doing the update yourself. It's not difficult at all. Since I did the update, yesterday, I have yet to have any issues. I also noticed there were some different new features on the whole Sync.

I did, it said mine was up to date unfortunately. Your success got me hopeful but it just got me frustrated enough to rant

I have a similar issue. I have a 2013 f150 and a Samsung galaxy s10 phone. When the phone is connected to sync via BT and I get a text it does not ring/vibrate on the phone. Also the phone doesn't show a new unread message. I miss so many text like this. No setting I change gets it to ring while commected.
Email is the same that it doesnt ring but it will give me a notification.

unpair it.

Delete the phone's profile from sync.

When you go to re-pair your phone and it asks for permission for your texts just say no.

You can still answer phone calls and listen to music through your truck speakers, it just won't steal your text message notifications anymore.
