Have a 2012 Lincoln. Bluetooth streaming has been working great until the other day.

Weird thing is, my phone is apparently sync’d and I can talk on the Bluetooth feature, but it won’t play music or YouTube, Pandora, etc. When I try to stream it through the source menu (auxiliary setting) like always, it says no Bluetooth device available.

Is this an issue with my phone or Lincoln? Checked on any software updates (iPhone 6 plus), says my software is the latest and greatest.

How do I fix this? My quality of life is suffering. HELP!

Have you tried deleting the profile on your car radio and repairing?

you're completely missing what i'm saying.

its not your iphone software its the VEHICLE software.

you didnt answer me on the OT, is this Microsoft Sync you're using? what year is your vehicle?

the only way you can see if you vehicle software is up to date is by logging into the ford/lincoln website and putting in your VIN and going to the SYNC section.

It is Microsoft Sync. It’s a 2012.

I wonder why it worked fine, then just stopped?

Did you do the latest iOS update? Maybe it has something to do with that.

Thought of that first. Said I was up to date. Version 11 point something.

Because you updated your phone. You're still not listening to me.

I also have a 2012 that had issues. Go to the Ford website and follow the instructions to update sync. It's easy.

...or pay Ford $200 to do it for you.

Your choice but your sync software is outdated and every time your phone updates those issues get worse.

Post back with questions about sync. I geeked out on it after I got a vehicle that had it.

It's not great but you can get more out of it than you may realize.

Downloaded the software on a flash drive from the website. Plugged it in my USB port, and doesn’t seem to be jiving. Noticed a 1800 number I can call. Might have to resort to that.

Well, solved my problem in an indirect way. Car had trouble starting this AM. Took it to O’Reilly. Bad battery. Replaced it and my music streaming started working again!

Man, bad batteries make cars do crazy things.
