Tech hero’s this question is for you.

New computer now out of date can’t use PP Excel or Word and need an update.

Best place to buy a new version. Online or in the store? I’m hearing online there are places I can get it for $30 and in the store seems more expensive.
I need essentially the most basic version If there is one definitely not working on NASA related issues.

TIA

My wife bought it for around $7 a month. There is also a student and Home version for $150, but she wanted Outlook, Skype, etc. Not sure about the online versions, but if you just need a couple of programs, it may be cheaper to buy individually.

eBay. You can buy extra .edu email accounts for like $1.99. Comes with Office 365 and a ton of one drive and google drive storage.

Sounds like this is too much for you, but for $70 a year you get the latest Office as well as 1TB of OneDrive space. For $100/year 6 people in your family get that.

I pay that just for the OneDrive space and get Office as a bonus. I think everyone should have cloud storage for important documents/media.

This is what we have, you don’t only get office in your one computer, I have it installed on two computers, tablet and my phone. Much cheaper and easier than dealing with single purchase every time I get a new device.
