Best Non Apple Smart Watch?

the wife wants a smart watch mostly for fitness tracking, streaming Spotify, sending and receiving texts and notifications, etc. She actually doesn't care about answering calls with it. She'd like many options to change faces and wants at least a full 16hrs battery life.
She'd prefer a smallish face, which is the issue. I'd been considering the Fossil Gen 5, but it's HUGE. Now I'm looking at Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, which I believe is 41mm... still a bigger than she'd like, but not many good smart watches under 40mm
Any suggestions?

Wife got me the active2 for Christmas and I really like it but I'm using an Android phone.
It has lots of fitness features and a built in gps

The Garmin's are great in my opinion. Durable and can do all kinds of cool things

they are great for what they are; i still use one on my bike but for a smartwatch you're going to want a company with a better software track record that will integrate with your phone.
the samsung watch handles all android notifications; has a huge library of watch faces and strava has an app for the phone so i'm not sure what you would get with a garmin over this right now.

I have a Fossil Gen 5 and love it, but it is too big for a lady. My sister has a Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 and it fits her wrist fine. She likes it so far.
