There is a power cable and the hardline directly into the tv for internet. Thats it
this is the way
that was main reason I wanted a new tv and because my Vizio is 11 years old. It still runs fine just nothing close to this new Sony. I got my iptv loaded inside tivimate right on the tv. No more firetv box. I also downloaded my VPN for smooth streaming( those att frickers). I also like to use clean master but couldn't load it. Need to find out how to.

On a side note, when I had cox, I had 300 down and 30 up, the monthly bill was a 100 a month roughly and we got fiber from att. I got a 1000/1000 and pay 60 a month. Funny thing, cox never, ever tried to throttle or freeze my streaming. Att's pos asses do. Those mfers.

to ATT.

Att doesn’t do that but they are having dns issues. Use your own dns servers and you will have less or even no streaming problems.

Thats not the case for the last 5 yrs. I know employees who have confirmed this. But according to you dns issues is the issue that have NEVER been fixed lol. They want you to buy their shite channels. But whatever you say. In fact t mobile home internet is better than att and cheaper. Thats sad.

Oh att gives me NO issues because I use a vpn the last 1.5 yrs and att can suck a giant dick.

I have been an at&t fiber user for 10+ years. I torrent like a mad man and stream whatever. I do not use at&t TV services. I use cloudflare for my DNS and have zero issues with accessing anything.

If you are just using their gateway in normal mode, then yes I'm sure the at&t DNS will cause some problems with filtering some things. On top of that, their DNS has been having technical issues for a while now and they still can't figure out the cause. Either of those 2 things could be contributing to your issue. They also have an "activearmor" feature on their gateway that can cause problems. The best solution is to turn active armor and other protections off within the at&t account. Put the gateway in IP Passthrough and use your own router with preferred non-att DNS. If you aren't doing this, then start there.

at&t fiber is not perfect but it is not a bad product.

My sister has uverse. Her channels NEVER freeze. Ever. Her router given to her from att has miraculously been flawless. No dns issues.

I dont use armor security/vpn and never will.

As soon as another Gigabyte competitor is in my neighborhood that offers a package in the ballpark price range ill cancel att.

But just curious, what cloudfare dns(1111?) settings are you using and what router?

I use an OpenWRT router and I use Cloudflare's family filtering (1.1.1.3).

Uverse TV is a completely independent item. It is not streaming TV but it is still IPTV. UverseTV does not consume internet bandwidth on att's system.

Gotta add a new 65 inch into the game room. The previous one was 10 years old.

I’m in same boat.

Need more memory to run apps.
Need better picture blacks and dark backgrounds
Less glare interference

What I came up with is…

Samsung 65 S90F, it is a QD-OLED TV. @$1500

Samsung 65 S90F,
I just started looking for a new TV to replace our older Sony Bravia. I'm waiting until Super Bowl week specials arrive and then I am heading to Bestbuy to check out what's available in person. We watch TV in a Sunroom with no direct sunlight but it has a good bit of glare on our screen especially when watching dark low light shows. Our existing Bravia has a great picture, but not too good for glare in a room with a lot of natural light. I will definitely take a look at the Samsung S90F and also the S95F, plus the Sony Bravia XR X90L, XR X95L and BZ series (with anti glare screens). The best I can tell so far is that Samsung's S95F has the best anti glare screen of any consumer TV.

Also looking for a new receiver mainly for Dolby Atmos. We have a really good set of Klipsch Tower, Center, Surround and Subwoofer speakers and I purchased some Klipsch Atmos speakers last year on sale knowing that I can't use them until we replace our receiver. So I need to research receivers and TVs simultaneously. Any recommendations on a good receiver would be appreciated. I'll be heading to Rtings.com for TV input, but I wonder if there is a similar great site for receivers.

Thanks for the suggestion. My current receiver is actually an older Denon X-AVR1300W. It's a great receiver for our current 5.2 setup, but it's just a little too old and doesn't process Dolby Atmos. We need at least a 7.2 setup with Atmos. I am definitely interested in Denon receivers. The HEOS technology they have is also compelling. I believe Marantz receivers also have that technology.

So all I gotta do is change my dns thru my tv and restart the gateway so it will take the new primary and secondary servers?

Which do you use that works for you?

I was thinking

1.0.0.1 primary
8.8.8.8 or 9.9.9.9 secondary

Well then how does my iptv take up bandwidth that would cause freezing and Uverse doesnt?

With uverse tv the tv data is delivered through an isolated separate data stream. It is possible to still get uverse tv when there are internet issues. Similar to how voip is handled
