Have a Vizio E550i-B2 hanging outside on the backporch. The reason it's outside is the lower left quadrant has been dimmer than the rest of the TV, which everything I'm reading points to LED Drive Board failure..

However, after watching it for a few hours Saturday night, I woke up to it not showing a picture Sunday morning. If I shine a flashlight at it, I can see very faint picture.. So the TV is technically working, but I'm not sure which I should replace first..

the driver board, or the LED strips

well ended up pulling the back cover off and checking the connection between the Power Supply board and the LED driver board.. Sure enough the soldering was loose (as described in this video LINK )

put some new solder, hooked it all back together, and backlight is working again. The lower left quadrant is still dim, so I guess if I can find a cheap LED driver board on ebay
