AV Pros: Would you ever sell hardware without installing it?

The Harmony Pro 2400 has just been announced/released. I would heavily consider this to clean up my cabinet- I currently use a Harmony Hub (requires power) into an IR distributor box (additional power cable).
This would allow me to use an ethernet cord for PoE and remove the distributor box entirely since it has 6x 3.5mm outs.
The link indicates that the hub is user configurable still. Of course, I'll plan on waiting a few months and read review. But here's the question:
On a piece of hardware like this (assuming after release/adoption/distribution we find out it runs on the same, old harmony hub software and the user can add/delete devices, activities, scenes at will), would you consider selling directly to a consumer (expecting to pay a markup/premium, of course) who expects no support, or would you only offer it for a custom install? Would it be an insult to a dealer/installer to ask for a price for the product only or is that not really an option you would tend to offer?

Would depend on the consumer

Depends on the consumer and product. Someone like you and a Harmony product ?
Meant to say it wouldn’t be an insult

Unless I’m mistaken, that’s a $200 cost above the most expensive consumer product package that uses the exact same remote. Up to you if that hub worth it.
You can almost always find “pro only” stuff online from a seller - either one who will just sell directly to a consumer, or one who won’t check to see if you’re licensed/approved by the manufacturer. Hit up Reddit; I’ve found a link or two through there.

If you need it
