How do I delete them? I have an HTC One thru att. It came with these apps I never use but won't let me delete the att apps. Is this what "unlocked" means?

Thanks in advance

After a quick search it looks like people are reporting that the apps will come back when you reboot the phone after you delete them with Titanium Backup. I've never had this happen with other phones but it looks like it'll happen with the One. It looks like you need to use a custom rom.

Also, they don't come back.....it does light up the "uninstall" option to begin with....so I never get to uninstall

He said uninstall with the app called Titanium backup, which will probably require root to work

Flashing a ROM totally replaces the OS on your phone. In computer terms, this would be a format and re-install. I don't think you're up for this just yet.

I originally said to root and use Titanium Backup to delete the AT&T apps. Then I read people saying that after doing that the apps came back after the phone was rebooted and I deleted what I originally said without thinking. I would search xda development forums for information on rooting and flashing a custom recovery.

Don't be a dick.....Im not an it guy by a long stretch. But I know a platform with multiple devices that gives you freedom to chose with no loss of function will always be better than a one trick pony which forces you to adapt your device choices just to use their OS...al the whole overcharging the frick out of you initially and with frequent changes in devices like chargers.

Not real sure if you think you put people down by showing you know how to root something or if you actually realize we don't give a care to know all that crap.

I was just clearing out some old stuff and noticed the uninstall option woukdnt light up when I longclicked the folder I put those apps in. I just hid em and disabled them. Not interested in going thru all kinds of issues.

Thanks to everyone for any sincere help.

You can just turn them off. If you go to settings>general>application manager, you can click on the app and turn it off. It won't completely get rid of it, but it will make it so it's not really effecting anything. It's basically the same as freezing it with titanium backup.
