At Times, Microsoft Edge Won't Open

At times, double click the icon (several times) and nothing happens. Then I right click -> open. Nothing happens.
I then Control - Alt - Delete and open the Task Manager and find this:
"Microsoft Edge (7)"
I click End Task, and this disappears. I'm then able to open Edge with a double click on the icon.
Any cure to this problem?
A piece of information you may consider. I'm 81 yo so use easy words for me to comprehend.

Try...
Step 1: Run Windows Settings and go to Apps.
Step 2: In Apps & features, select Microsoft Edge and click Advanced options below it.
Step 3: Scroll down to find Reset section. Here are two options available, and you can choose to either Repair or Reset your Edge.
Also, if you are using any addons/plugins, disable and reenable one at a time to see if one is the culprit. Make sure that you are not allowing sites to send notifications.
