This came native with the PC, not some new shite I installed. It was working fine 4 hours ago. Now the shortcut has a little windows defender icon, and even though I'm logged in with an admin account, and choose to run as administrator, I only get the "allow this to make changes screen" and I click yes, and nothing happens.

I have been googling this shite for hours now and have tried a bunch of things suggested online, to no avail.

Can the Tech Board help me out again?

The step 4 to upgrade to armoury cafe seems to be working so far. Apparently Asus rebranded the Aura software to Armoury and abandoned their legacy software, making WD flag it. It's been about 30 minutes now with WD re-instated and it hasn't shut it down yet.

Yet.

The previous version worked for about 18 hours before WD shut it down, so 30 minutes on the new version doesn't give me much hope yet, but it's up and running now.

Thanks for the info.
