I’m having an issue with my new Apple Watch Series 3. When I receive, and espeicially when I make phone calls, the audio is very delayed and the call quality is bad. I hear what someone says about 3-8 seconds after they actually say it.

Anyone know what’s going on?

What service? I’ve not had those problems but I would imagine it’s the service. Try to reboot.

I’m using Verizon, but have been on my home WiFi.

I’ve had an original, a series 1 and a series 2 and they all have been like this. Talking through it is convenient when away from my phone, or with my hands full, but it’s quirky, and isn’t the best way of doing it.

Yeah, I figure it may just be something to deal with. I don’t anticipate talking through it much unless I just need to. I’m much more likely to speak to it to send a text or write an email or something.

Seems like I found a resolution to my issue. I cut both the Apple Watch and the iPhone off and turned the iPhone back on and then turned the watch on. Calls seem to be doing better now, no apparent delay and better quality.

I shut off bluetooth on the iPhone and am now using only wifi and cellular . This eliminated he voice delay that appears to come from using bluetooth.

pretty sure the Apple Watch can not connect to the iPhone with bluetooth off.
