Anyone ever try Qubes OS?

I'm thinking about installing Qubes OS and then maybe install Parrot OS and Windows 10 VM's within the hypervisor.
Any of yall ever try something like this? I'm currently using VMware for numerous VM's but I want something more secure.

Really wanted to, but the hardware compatibility is problematic for my hardware

I've heard a lot of good things about it. Have been contemplating giving Qubes or ProxMox a really serious look. ProxMox has been getting a lot of press lately, but that doesn't always mean much.
I've been a VMware guy for a long time, starting with Server v1.0.1 on Slackware back around '06-07.
I'm really comfortable here but always looking to learn new things.
If you give it a whirl report back your findings.
