Never had a problem with mine (6). My wife's is much faster (6S+), but the 6 is still very accurate.
Try rescanning your finger, and don't be ridiculous when you scan the edges/other angles.

Nah, mine works perfectly. Maybe try to reset it and enter your print again.

Mine works perfectly even with my LifeProof case. It's one of the best features on the phone
