I know the 85” 4 series already came out. And they are saying they will have the 8 series in 85 inches. But does anyone know if the mid range tv will the the 6 series 8k or 6 series 4K?

I’m really hoping the mid level 85” tv is not 8k so it will keep the price down. If it’s just an 85” 6 series that would be perfect.

Anyone hearing rumors?

All the new 6 series for 2021 are 8K only. They are continuing to make the 2020 4K R635 though if you don't want the 8K '21 models.

The XL models remaining to be released, the QLED and Mini-LED models, will be very expensive. The base XL 4 series is $1599 already. MiniLED will be at least 2 grand. Hard to think they will be worth the money, but will wait and see on reviews.

Ah, I guess I misunderstood. Well, then I hope the mid range is similar to the 2020 6 series to keep the price down.

8k is pointless at this time.

So the mid range will be similar to the 5 series last year and the high end will be the “6 series”.

If they are over $2100 Then I would probably just end up going with a Sony 950h

Yeah pretty much, the super high end models have advanced enough AI and machine learning alongside "next gen" style upscaling engines that can make 4K content upscaled to 8K look amazing though. About the only scenario it's worthwhile, someone that watches a ton of 4K content especially movies and with a 4K bluray player.

I had a home theater set up in my house which is currently packed up and will have a dedicated home theater in the new house. So 85” is my thought

Ideal is the new lg 83” OLED. But not sure I can stomach dropping 2 mortgages on a TV.

Really love the immersion of the movie theaters. So trying to get as big a screen as possible but I don’t want to deal with a projector

Yeah, a quality projector is a massive amount too and still nowhere near the LG OLED quality. 950H would be solid too.

I have the 2020 5 series right now and it’s honestly the best picture I’ve had as a personal tv. So I think the 950h will blow me away. The OLED is amazing, but I’m just not sure if the difference justifies the price jump. I’m trying to convince myself it’s not worth it so my fiancé won’t hate me.

I’m wondering if a 77” OLED would be better than a 85” 950h. I think the 85 would be better since I’m going for the immersion.

Nice, I’ve been wrestling in my head over that for a long time. You convinced me it will probably end up being the X95J by the time I end up pulling the trigger
