My dad is moving to a cabin the middle of nowhere in Arkansas and there is AT&T service about 50 yards from the house, but nothing in the house.

Can anyone provide good recommendations to broadcast service in the house so we can prevent getting a landline? Anyone here have experience with good ones?

Most of the trailer houses on oil/gas locations that I have seen use Wilson cell phone boosters.

They seem to work pretty well although I think they run around $500.

Check out this site I just found. It walks you through what you need (house or car, sq ft coverage, etc) and has quite a few to choose from.

It will not turn into a link, but the site is cellphonesignalbooster.us

thanks man. this looks like a great lead

I should add that there will be an internet connection (dish) in the house, if that could help the cause

I need an ATT microcell in my house in order to get a good signal. It plugs into the router and cell phones have to be registered through ATT in order to use it. It works great, though, except that it is dependent upon both internet and power.
