Android Backup

I recently copied some large movies to my Pixel over USB, and notice my data usage has skyrocketed. When I check my data usage, it's all from Android OS. My guess is that it is syncing the videos to the cloud. Photos & videos are not being synced to Google Drive. The folder I put the videos in is not set up to backup to Google Photos. Any other ideas where to look?

Have you checked your data usage by app? Might be unrelated since Google typically sets the default settings for backup only over WiFi

The data use app showed Android OS has used 152 GB this month. I think it may have been something with the 7.1.2 beta. I installed the OTA 7.1.2 Wednesday night, and my data usage has normalized.
