Am I missing something about this TV deal?

Seems to me that this is a smoking deal for a 65" 4K TV by a reputable brand - but am I missing something? I get that its last years model but everything else seems pretty on par or even better than other similar offerings.
Link to LG Site for Specs and Info
I figured you guys might help educate me a little better on 4K TV info as I am planning to upgrade this weekend. Thanks.

That does seem to be a fantastic deal.

That's what I am thinking as well - just looked at the real thing at Best Buy on my lunch break and the picture is really nice and crisp, blacks are dark like they should be, and the bezel is very thin and nice. Unfortunately for them, Best Buy retails it for between 1000 and 12000 depending on the sale.
I am upgrading from my college TV so this new technology being affordable is pretty wild to me. My current TV is a Sanyo 48" 1080 with 60hz refresh and terrible backlighting. This thing has 4K, a 65" screen, and does HDR and dynamic backlighting. That's about all I can really wrap my mind around as far as the tech, but I think this is going to have to happen.

It is not an HDR panel. It has HDR processing so that you can handle the HDR input, but that is not a true HDR panel. That will cost more.
It also has an inferior upscaler and there have been reports of pixelating and artifacting problems with 1080i, so if you were planning on an OTA antenna for locals, you might want to consider something else.

Ok, so I did a little looking into 1080i(interlaced) vs 1080p(progressive) and it does sound like the progressive is the better of the two options as far as what you see per frame. Is that not effected by it being a 4K unit though?
As for the HDR processing instead of being a true HDR panel, what does that mean exactly? It seems like if it will process it then it should output it in some way, otherwise what is the use? Is that content based?
I am not doing anything over the air for locals or anything antennae based, at least I don't think so, since I have cable and do all of my watching either through that or wifi - I actually may pick up an Ethernet cable to wire direct this time though.
This is the kind of stuff that gets me confused in a hurry so any help is appreciated.

You should use Google or some other source to understand what HDR brings to the table. It provides a higher bit rate image. The display that is used also has to be able to reproduce the same bitrate. The 65UH615A cannot reproduce the detail available from HDR content. LG is pulling a fast one saying they have HDR processing (yes they do) while not explaining that the panel can't reproduce it as HDR.

Thanks for the info HubbaBubba. I have been doing some looking around today and this evening and I agree with your feelings on it and I feel a lot more informed about some of this more detailed stuff now.
Again I really appreciate the help. I will post back with what I decide to go with when I get to that point.

Just as a disclaimer. I have 26 years of experience in broadcast/production video, as a sales engineer for CRT video projectors, video scalers and processors and in imaging sensors. For the last ten years, much of that has been in support of government and military image acquisition and analysis systems. I probably possess the most critical eye for image quality you'll find on TD, so what I find fault with in a video display, the average viewer would never see because they aren't trained to see it.
