Is there a trick to this? I have cracked three tips trying to get them on. I have them lined, but it is like the plastic on the tip is smaller than the pod by a good bit.

The actual manual for the Etymotic ER4XR suggests that if you’re using triple-flange tips, “moistening eases insertion”

That’s all I’ve got.

The plastic was too small and split when I tried to force them on.

I use comply foam tips and I like them very much. Never had an issue installing them or the stock silicone tips.

Did you order some cheapos off Amazon and they are made wrong or poor quality? Watch a YouTube video for installation tutorials.

You might be trying too hard.

All I do is line it up and push. It'll make a little click and you'll know it's secure if it doesn't easily come off.
