Access point with Ethernet jack

So finally got my home office wired up for my docking station. I have a nice cabinet I’m using for a standing desk. But right off of the office is my deck, with an old TV with a fire stick on it. Also just finished painting and fixing up an old gazebo in the yard for my teenager. She’s doing her homework out there most afternoons and WiFi signal isn’t the greatest. Was thinking of putting an AP in my desk so the TV on the deck and the chrome books and tablets pick up better outside. Any recommendations? Already have a Ubiquiti AP in the house so I’m somewhat familiar with those. I ran a cable to my docking station but have plenty of space for an AP in there, but don’t want to pull another wire for it. Would just like for it to pass through to the laptop but also provide WiFi for other devices.

Unifi has a handful of ones that have extra “out” ports
they have 3 different “in-wall” versions. Two have 1 in, 2 out. One has 1 in, 4 out - this one is designed for “high density” deployment and has intentionally “weak” radios to reduce interference. It’s probably fine for a room in your house IF you want/need a 4 port switch from the Unifi line. But the others are better. UAP-AC-Pro is a “traditional” Unifi AP that has a secondary port that you could use if you only need one port.

In addition to the in-wall APs mentioned by Doc, since you already have a Ubiquiti AP they also have a mesh AP called BeaconHD which just plugs into a power outlet. I'm not certain because I haven't used one myself, but you might need the controller software running to configure and/or continue operating the mesh functionality. All of their APs are mesh-capable, though.

Thanks. My neighbor also recommended either the in-wall unit or one of their other models. Really need wired access for my workstation, but was just wanting to add another AP to cover other things out here a little better. Probably going to go with one of those.

Could just put a small switch on you desk if you have one. Send one wire out to the workstation and one to the new AP.
But the in wall sounds like the best solution.

Thoughts on this:
Ubiquiti Aircube
I like the size of it, and having an extra out might come in handy if my wife wanted to work from my office without having to disconnect anything from my current desk setup. I'll just run my cable through the wall and into my desk, and have this next to my docking station with a short patch cable.

Sorry, haven't been on for a bit. I like that, actually. Had not seen that one before.

I have zero experience with that device, so it might work like you're expecting. But be aware that it is designed to work with Ubiquiti's AirMAX line of WISP equipment.

Yeah, I saw that as well. But read some reviews on it before I ordered it, and many were people saying they were using it similarly to how I have it set up. Got it up and running last week, and so far so good. I've got the WiFi set up and my laptop can connect to it great when I don't have it docked. Also have the FireStick on the porch running right now connected to it while finishing up work today. Got my boys watching some cartoons.
