I recently got a 2Gig GC3 up and running using the existing 2Gig Thin Door/Window Sensors that were left behind by a previous homeowner.

Everything paired fine and it was a smooth process.

Issue I’m having is that it’s randomly saying doors and windows are being opening throughout the house- more specifically 11 of the 13 Sensors or currently saying that the are open.

Is this a sensor battery issue? I think they are about 2-3 years old.

Any guidance?

(I have the guy I purchased the system from calling 2Gig and he will be coming troubleshoot this weekend, but I’m impatient.)

I'm assuming they are surface contacts, DW10, if so make sure they are enrolled as loop 2.

Yes. They are DW10s. I will check the loop. I used whatever they defaulted to in set up mode, and I believe there were some on Loop1 and other on Loop2.

Can I just change it, or should I delete and re-add.

I will be adding 2- DW20Rs (recessed door sensor) 1- FT1 Flood Sensor, an SMKT3 Smoke, and a PIR1 Motion Sensor as well.

Anything special to know about those?

DW20 loop 2
Flood loop 1
PIR loop 1
Smoke loop 1
Heat loop 2

SMKT3 is a combination smoke, heat, freeze device. Freeze is loop 3 but you don't need it.

I appreciate the info.

Will report back after I test this evening.

I went in and switched all the DW20s to Loop 2.

It’s been 4 hours now and haven’t had a false trigger.

I will add the additional sensors tmrw, hopefully all goes smoothly.

Thanks for the help TigerWise.
