Anybody have any experience with this? I need an HDMI splitter of some sort to accomplish this. Reading reviews for splitters on Amazon and getting mixed reviews for a lot of them.
I also see mention of something called HDCP which I have no idea wtf this even is. Any suggestions?

HDCP
been around since the beginning of dvi and hdmi digital signals. its a copy protection that is behind-the-scenes and shouldn't have any impact on what you're trying to do.
i think you can probably find something on monoprice to accomplish this.
$20
This Blackbird 4K HDMI® splitter distributes a single HDMI source to two HDMI displays.
Features:
1 HDMI® input splits to 2 HDMI sink devices
HDCP™ 1.4 protocol compliant
3D video support including frame packing for all 3D formats up to a 297MHz TMDS clock
Support display resolutions up to 4K@30Hz, 1080p@120Hz, and 3D-1080p@60Hz
Supports 48-bit Deep Color
Supports digital audio formats, including DTS-HD™, Dolby TrueHD™, 7.1-channel LPCM, DTS®, Dolby AC3™, and DSD
PS dont forget to go ahead & buy some HDMI cables at the same time since they're dirt cheap and you're going to need them sooner or later. i recommend using different colored cables for each tv to make it easier to remember which one is going to which.

Nice. Thanks for the info. Wasn't sure if hdcp would prevent splitting and hadn't gotten around to looking it up. Sooner or later imma be in the market for something like op is talking about.
