Matthew Doyle
@MattDoyle76
Richie Ledezma, who's essentially missed an entire year via injury, was just subbed on for the final 30 mins of PSV U19s vs. Ajax U19s (Sergino Dest is on for Ajax).

LA Galaxy recently fired their U19 manager Brian Kleiban. His brother represents players like Mendez, Llanez, etc. According to this link,
That's about $13k/year. I imagine both players were offered homegrown contracts. Homegrown contracts have a floor of at least $54k/year.
quote:
Had the deals Llanez and Mendez received in Germany been comparable to the contracts signed by fellow Americans Weston McKennie or Josh Sargent, the Galaxy probably wouldn’t have had a major beef. But multiple sources told me independently that Llanez and Mendez are making peanuts with Wolfsburg and Freiburg, respectively, about 1,000 euros a month. My understanding is that’s less that the Galaxy offered them to stay. Makes you wonder what kind of advice they were getting. (Kleiban did not respond to a request for comment.)

17 year old Cade Hagan (@HaganCade) had 4 goals and 1 assist in a 5-0 victory for Sporting Gijon's U19 side today. Hagan recently turned 17 and is eligible for the US U17s this cycle. LINK

What are the criteria for "young players" and does Jozy fit these criteria?

quote:Pretty much. I don't mind mentioning that someone that's in the USMNT starting XI discussion is on a roll.
It’s become a default USMNT thread essentially.

To get back on the Young Player track, Will Vint is getting his 2nd ever and consecutive start, 5th appearance for ATL UTD 2.
Carleton is also starting for the 2's instead of travelling with the first team.

Novakovich scored another off a rebound as the keeper couldn't hold on to a teammate's shot.

Yow made the bench for DC against Colorado. Durkin is starting for DC and Bassett is starting for Colorado.

Since I haven't seen it mentioned here yet, Leverkusen wanted to get Durkin on loan this year with an option to buy, but DC turned it down.

DC are betting on him having a strong U20 WC.
Posted on 4/13/19 at 8:43 pm to cwil177
They haven't done him any favors by only giving him 30' through the first 6 games of the season.
Posted on 4/13/19 at 8:53 pm to pvilleguru
And Durkin scores his first MLS goal.
