40 is the new 20. I think we're good unless you want to talk about Brad Friedel or something

Got another name to add to the list.

Shaq Moore-FC Dallas(17 years old)

He is ranked at the top of IMG's 150.

We may get to see some of these young guys with the USMNT soon. Jurgen told Ives that he's not going to call in the vets for a while. He's going to bring up a lot of young guys for the upcoming friendlies. We may not see a true A team until close to the Gold Cup.

That's the right way to go about it. These friendlies are pointless and gives the young guys a chance to meld as a team against some experienced international talent. Also gives the older guys a chance to rest.

Hopefully Zelalem gets his passport soon.

With Aron having surgery on his ankle, he'll most likely be out of action for 8-9 weeks.

Just a suggestion - but maybe include the existing player pool at the top of this thread, with their clubs?

It may be a little difficult for the new fan to flip on Arsenal, Sunderland, Atletico Madrid match expecting to see an American and not realize that most of those guys are academy players.

My contribution:

Goalkeepers
Tim Howard - Everton (EPL)
Brad Guzan - Aston Villa (EPL)
Nick Rimando - Real Salt Lake (MLS)
Sean Johnson - Chicago Fire (MLS)
Bill Hamid - DC United (MLS)

Other capped active goalkeepers:
Brad Friedel - Tottenham (EPL) (Retired from international play)
Marcus Hahnemann - Seattle Sounders (MLS) (Retired from international play)
Troy Perkins - Montreal Impact (MLS)
Luis Robles - New York Red Bulls (MLS)
Jon Busch - San Jose Earthquakes (MLS)
David Yeldell - Bayer Leverkeusen (Germany)

Hyndman started in CM for Fulham's first friendly today.

Means nothing obviously, but he is highly thought of there. I have no idea what his chances of getting regular time are though, but Fulham have like two CM's at this point and Magath was pretty experimental as far as playing kids last year.

Fulham are basically trying to become the new Southampton - lots of young talent so the fact that Hyndman is so highly thought of there is promising.

My hope is a good July might at least get him a shot at being in the first team to start the season. However, if he is very unlikely to play, I'd almost rather see him get regular action with the U-21 team.

He's under contract through 2016 if memory recalls, so I'm very much looking forward to his continued development.

I don't think I've ever seen him play, and obviously the way the official site is going to describe him is going to be hyperbolic, but they do say that "the youngster has consistently turned heads as a result of his cultured play and sublime range of passing."

You know as well as I do that Fulham don't exactly have a glut of central midfielders that can pass the ball.

Fulham getting relegated was the most exciting thing that has happened in years. We might actually see some of these kids play, instead of the retirement league all stars.

Teams have these? Why didn't anyone tell me?

I am checking around for people who may have been at the game to give any reports on Hyndman. Or the squad in general. Tale of two halves apparently considering all 3 goals came after the break. Pumped to see Woodrow get a full run this season.

Scott Parker runs around a lot and looks really British. You can't ask for too much.

Woodrow, Chris David, Hyndman, Patrick Roberts, etc. Want to see all of them really.

Probably need a Fulham thread instead of hijacking this one more.

Apparently Puebla want to re-sign Beasley. They thought he was asking for too much money before the WC but they were impressed by his play in the WC and changed their minds.

Alfred Koroma is impressing for the Fluminese reserves
This guy was a baller in the last U-17 WC that I watched.
