With Bradley as the pivot? Or trying Pulisic at striker as he has shown a great ability to make runs and find open spaces. Slide Nagbe to LM and Place Jones to the left of Bradley.

Make your own formation on what you would like to see.

I don't think it would work. Turning it over in the midfield due to random acts of frickery, like we're prone to do, and the Ticos are off to the races against a back 3

Put Johnson at left mid, Yedlin at right mid, and slide Nagbe into an attacking midfield position and I think you have a viable lineup. Not sure why we haven't tried the 3-5-2 since that one half against Chile where we looked pretty decent.

Costa Rica ran a 5-4-1 in its first match, and that would be deadly against a back three.

They'd absorb the pressure and overrun the U.S., especially with a young attack-minded guy like Pulisic at LM. (Fabs would do more than fine as the winger in a 3-5-2, though.)

Against a two-striker system or maybe even a standard 4-5-1, I'd be all in favor of a 3-5-2 with the right players on the wings. But against virtually two banks of wingers, a lone striker and a team that loves to counter, I'm not feeling it at all.

ETA: Moving Fabs over and letting Yedlin play RM like Cwil said would be great, but I don't like that matchup against a 5-4-1. That is, if Costa Rica sticks to that.
