I’m literally 30 seconds in and the first fernandes one was a perfectly legitimate foul.

Y’all just love to hate on his success

They really need to change yellow cards for simulation to straight reds. Get it out of the game. Like targeting in football, with VAR they can review in real time and make sure its the correct call.

It was definitely a foul committed by Fernandes.

No one can say anything against Bruno’s skill. Dude is a straight baller. He has incredible vision and the technical ability to make those passes and shots.

But he’s also a diving rat-faced bitch.

The defender slid into fernandes path??

I really question some of y’all’s knowledge of the game

That’s a foul 100% of the time

Brother, this man literally almost broke someone's leg in half and then acted like he got shot to win a penalty. Nobody is debating he's a good player. But the way he conducts himself a lot of the time is a disgrace

I’m still confused why you think it’s Fernandes’ fault that in the middle of doing a roulette, a move that requires at some point in time both feet to be off the ground, someone slid in to the only place he could put his foot, and somehow you think that it was some malicious intent by Fernandes.

I’m telling you beyond a shadow of a doubt that gets called literally every time it happens in a game. Maybe he embellished the amount of pain he was in but in the replay he does visibly roll his ankle. That’s what football/soccer is now but if you think that play was in any way under Fernandes’ control you’re off your head.

You're essentially saying here that it's ok to kick someone in the face while attempting a bicycle kick.

I’m not. Fernandes was already making the move when the guy challenged. If the guy hits Fernandes’ body on a challenge instead of the ball it’s a foul. Fernandes got the ball around the man and then was impeded by physical contact initiated by the opposition player. It’s a textbook foul

The difference with a bicycle kick is the ball is a 50/50 ball in the air so a boot close to the face is considered reckless play. Fernandes had the ball under his possession

Feel free to actually make a counterpoint or just say wow.

Just out of curiosity did you ever play or ref?

Interesting, and in your experience it is fine for a defender to make a sliding challenge nowhere near the ball and make contact with an attacker’s leg, impeding progress?
