If Neymar doesn’t embellish the foul it may have stood. It was a clear foul. Guy pulled
Him away from the ball by his chest. Was it a weak foul because the defender is apparently weak as shite? Yes, but still a foul.
Yellow cards are not for player embellishing actual contact. They are for faking contact when none happened.

It’s not about the amount of contact, it’s about the deliberate and effective action taken by the defender to block his progress after getting beat. He clearly impeded a goal scoring opportunity after getting beat. That’s a penalty.

Neymar has been getting killed by the refs. Usually Brasil do get special treatment. I don't understand why they aren't calling stuff for him like the do for the rest of the big names.

He had made the move and created space to open up a shot. You think he decided that instead of taking that shot he was going to hope for a penalty? That’s illogical.

Exactly. It worked the way it was supposed to. I think a lot of people here are just upset about the US not qualifying, and their hero Landy being a traitor.
I understand, I wish the US would have qualified, but Im not going to melt about it like many of the posters here.
