A United Fan advocating buying something more expensive? This universe doesn't make sense anymore. After hearing their reaction to City winning the league, I was sure that ManU fans procured the best available fabric at a really cheap price and then developed it into a really nice jersey over time. That's the best way to build something, right? People that just go buy stuff ruin the sanctity of football jerseys.

On a serious note, I bought a cheap USMNT jersey on ebay before WC 2010 and it looks and feels very similar to the real thing, and it came at a fraction of the price. If I wanted a $100 quality jersey, I would have bought a $100 jersey. People who buy Camry's don't expect them to perform like a Benz.

What a prick.

Booooooooooooooo. I don't care if you buy a counterfeit City jersey (like they need the money, HA), but the USSF could use the support.

How much money off the sale of a US jersey do you think the USSF gets?

I have no way of knowing that, but I would bet it's more than what they make off of those counterfeit jerseys

Possibly. Not sure if they get a kickback on every item sold or if Nike gives them a lump sum. BUT, if you love 'Merica, then you love capitalism, right?

I just bought this. It better arrive by next Friday!!

True day, if Nike isn't getting enough sales they'll lower the price to compete.

Also I don't like the abbreviation USSF, too commie for me

Cool. I see nothing wrong with this. I just like supporting my national association, but to each his own.

Don't get your hopes up. I ordered a Dempsey Jersey from Thailand and it took over a month.

Yeah, there is no way I would expect it to arrive in time if it is coming from a knockoff site. It stated 3-7 days, so it should arrive.

Was in Warsaw last week, they were in the middle of setting up everything. Got a Poland jersey for $50, and it's authentic. Friends got knock offs for like $12

The factory children say they can't see well because they can't afford to buy glasses.

I say they have an attitude problem.

Who spends a $100 on a soccer jersey?

I just bought a Bocanegra Rangers jersey for $35 (delivered) from this place that makes INCREDIBLE knockoffs that look just like the real thing. It's called Rangers FC. Google it.

You guys enjoy your fake jerseys. They'll look great with your Tag Heller watch, Luckey Jeans and adildas shoes.

What a prick.

There are a lot of defensive people in this thread. If you want to spend $20 or $100 bucks on a jersey do it, and be comfortable enough in yourself to not freak out of people call you cheap or an idiot for over spending.

I do think it would be interesting to cross reference this, and similar SB threads on knock off jerseys, with ones on the Rant making fun of people who buy Wal-Mart LSU jerseys. If anyone has a few hours to kill, let me know who has contradictory views.

Apples and oranges IMO. A knock off college jersey wouldn't look anything like the real thing. Especially at a place like the Wal Mart.

To some people, this:

and this:

Look similar enough. Of course they are not as similar as some of the knockoffs you see of the soccer kits.

You rolled your eyes at the mention of knock off watches, sneakers and handbags but I really don't see how those are any different than soccer jerseys that are being discussed in this thread.

You have me all figured out, man. I surrender to your majesty.

I will go enjoy my jersey, instead of being a jerk to someone over the Internet because their jersey isn't 100% perfect. I'll take the imperfections and pocket the extra $50-$75 bucks, while you obsess over someone else's stuff.
