Thought it was new merrrikan ingrrrish talk.

So, you drag the strip of the club of your heart to a CL match, and boo the club for which you're defacto rooting?

I root against Tottenham in every match they play. I'm sure Arsenal fans in London do the same. I'm not sure what your point is.

One thing i've noticed from Older European soccer fans in USA, is back in the old days, you never rooted for anyone but ur team or Country.

Suddenly, they are rooting for the League, when their teams go to shite. Weird to see a Sampdoria fan, rooting for every Italian team in Europe and in league play.

SEC! SEC! SEC!

I do remember a lot of Americans that had other favorite national teams to root for, usually ancestral teams when I grew up. outside of that if USA or your second team lost you did not root for another team. Club wise however, if your team lost, you did not root for another team. you might have a favorite in the final that you wanted to win over the other.
