or am I missing something?

Hopefully dumping some of these shitty players like Michael Bradley and getting some real ones ready for WC qualifying.

Looks like Toronto, somewhere in the US, and probably Havana for the group stage.

And somehow we’ll manage to look average and call in older players for some reason.

ok I had no idea about this Nations League thing

US plays Cuba on October 11 and Canada on November 15

team that tops the group (I'm thinking Cuba) goes to the Nations League semifinals

the last place finisher in the group (who... after last night... some on this board seem to hope would be the USA) will be relegated to "League B" with the likes of French Guiana, St. Kitts & Nevis, Guyana, & Suriname (unless 1 of those sides gets promoted to "League A")

Mexico's in Group B... Costa Rica is in Group D

so the only way we play either of them is in the KO round

It's new. UEFA is doing the same thing. They just finished their first version of it.

Yes. Exactly like in the Gold Cup.

Not much, besides it being official matches where you can cap tie players and more chances to integrate new players with at least something on the line.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 50/50 split between members from a regular 23 man roster and new/young guys. Could be a lot more beneficial than the regular January/February camp cupcake.
