What a game. Maybe the best I’ve seen as a neutral fan

It also fit the storylines well. Mbappe clearly establishes himself as the next GOAT with an all time performance but in a losing cause. Messi goes out a winner. French got humbled then came back with a vengeance. Argentina kept digging deep and eventually it was enough.

Agree. It was great all around with all the story lines, back and fourth, big names. Also I thought the ref was superb. Which is rare these days.
I didn’t agree with the first penalty but I think 9/10 reds today make the call so I don’t fault the ref for making that call…I fault the sport as a whole for making almost any contact in the box a penalty.
But yeah excellent all around. If that didn’t turn non fans watching, into fans. There is no hope of you liking this sport.
