Uruguay's midfield is atrocious.

Beautiful ball from Suarez to Cavani and he takes a terrible touch through on goal.

Goal! 1-1. Rodriguez.

Neutral site friendlies have the worst atmospheres. They just attract a bunch of bandwagon fans, often those who root for both teams.

it's amazing how well established these u21 guys are in their respective leagues, i'm familiar with most of the players. i wouldn't expect to see a us U21 squad filled with bundesliga regulars anytime soon

Where are the Euros in their U21 cycle?

Are they 21 going on 23 yet?

not being an arse but i'm not sure what you're asking. the euros are in israel this summer if that's what youre wondering.

That answered my question. The age limit is applied at the beginning of qualifying. So, it's more like an u23 tournament by the time that it actually happens.

ahh yeah, i was wondering. seemed a bit arbitrary as to who could play and how many. that makes sense now

Yeah, I could have phrased my question better.

I like their system, to be honest. I don't like how some of our young players seem to fall off of the face of the planet outside of the Olympic qualifying tournament.

quote:

On ITV, presenter Adrian Chiles kicks off by telling pundit Roy Keane that he never really had him down as a samba boy. "I did used to play the game I didn't just go around kicking people," says Keane, by way of reply. Chiles 0-1 Keane.
