It looked like an extremely dicey call but it seems that it was the Canadian defender kicking Castillo on Castillo's follow through to the bad pass he made into the box.

My impression is that the official waved the flag when he saw the contact on the follow through then had a second thought but it was too late.

Not sure why there's any complaints about officiating for this match after that call though.

The problem with Gooch isn't that he just lost speed. It's that he doesn't have the tactical awareness to make up for his lost speed.

I am reserving my opinion on Gooch and most of the players on the roster right now (w/ the exception of castillo, screw that guy) until I get a larger sample size...three friendlies isnt enough...I wont really have opinions on these guys until after the first couple games of the hexagonal
