The pitch being this slow is really going to hurt Arsenal's through balls to Walcott and his dribbling.

cuts both ways, I suppose. Robinho and Boateng will both be encumbered by the loss of traction

edit: watching with no audio. why is a Milan sub stretching already?

I guess, I haven't watched enough of Milan to know how those players operate out there for Milan. They certainly aren't getting wide, where the pitch is a disaster, nor building up play out wide.

These first 10 minutes Arsenal certainly look the better side, which is nice.

Well we found out why the Sub was warming up. Seedorf didn't even seem injured to me. Good that he's not out there, without Pirlo he certainly organizes all of their play, now they are missing the link from the midfield to the wings/and strikers.

WTF, terrible clearance from Scz, lax defending, but a freaking rip from Prince.

Lol, 8 men behind the ball for Milan, 1 player in the box for Arsenal and they still try forcing in a cross. And then almost get countered by the 2 Milan players actually staying up top.

That left side is just a void. Gibbs not going forward really, and Rosicky wanting to drift central each time.

Szczesny really has to do better. His clearance the pass back right before that one was poor as well, but that clear on the goal was crap.

LINK ]From The Guardian's Min by Min:
quote:

25 min: "Very sad to see Oxlade-Chamberlain on the bench," writes John Davis. "Saw Michael Cox on Zonal Marking argue that Arsenal's wingers against Milan's narrow diamond would decide the game. Has Arsene been pragmatic/cowardly, or have Milan been cynical in knackering/replacing the turf on the wings (according to ITV). Ah, the good old days of European football."

Nice

It is definitely frustrating seeing Rosciky out there, he's just not very good right now. Completely ruining the play on the left wing. Arsene is probably scared to play Ox since he's young and only just now starting to crack first team.

Arsenal just look like crap. Milan is sitting back with tons of defenders but there is no creativity from Arsenal on attack and they don't look threatening at all. Milan are only trying to counter, and the Arsenal back line lack of chemistry is just obvious. They have no clue when to step, who to defend it's just pathetic.

Arsenal in Milan's half nearly the entire match thus far, with the bulk of possession, yet aren't threatening at all, and can't deal with Milan's counter attack at all.

That's probably as close as it gets to not being offsides
