As far as matches pretty sure irish League is in season during that time. Also might be able to catch one of those super early round WOATpions league/EurGOATpa qualifiers.

Irish are crazy friendly and helpful

I've never seen anything like it.

My father and law and I flew into Shannon a few years back and did a couple weeks golfing down in the south east. We rented a car and he hopped in to drive. About 45 minutes outside the airport he smashes right into the median and blows the front driver's side tire to hell. We call the agent at the airport and he can't find anyone to help with roadside assistance. This guy shut his booth down, drove 45 minutes, and changed our tire in the pouring rain. All while wearing his Dilbert-looking short sleeve button up with tie get up.

Also, we golfed with several locals that my father in law knows through the O&G business. I'd smash a ball into the rough and these guys would just charge right in with me and spend as long as I'd let them trying to find the balls.

Protip: if you are playing golf, try to play with locals or members of the clubs. We paid like $25 or $50 per round where if we weren't with them it would have cost $250.00 per roud.

Ireland is a hell of a place and I can't get back there soon enough.
