I'm the one that said I see the EPL as the top league but ONLY because of their top 5-6 being deeper/richer clubs than the top 5-6 of either Bundesliga and Serie A.
To say the EPL has "more depth" signifies to me that teams 6-20 are also better than other leagues which I don't see IN THE LEAST.
I think a similar argument can be made for Bundesliga but since I watch much more Serie A and EPL here's some higher to lower table finishers from this season:
Serie A --- EPL
6 Roma -- Liverpool
7 Juventus -- Everton
8 Fiorentina -- Fulham
9 Palermo -- Aston Villa
10 Genoa -- Sunderland
13 Parma -- Stoke City
14 Cagliari -- Bolton
15 Catania -- Blackburn
16 Bologna -- Wigan
17 Lecce -- Wolverhampton
18 Sampdoria -- Birmingham City
Anyone who thinks that those EPL sides are any tougher competition than the Serie A sides thinks that because they don't watch Serie A and only listen to the most biased EPL cheerleaders.

Schalke finished 14th, 2 spots ahead of the relegation zone. They were in the semis of the Champions League.

Yeah, that's exactly my point. I do watch enough Bundesliga to know that, like Serie A, the teams that finish mid-table are just as good and probably stronger than teams in the same positions in EPL. The difference, and why you have consider EPL the top league right now, is only that they have more Bayern type powerhouses.
I think that if you had a league challenge of EPL v either Serie A or Bundesliga you may see EPL take the first 5 seeds like 4-1 but I'd be surprised to not see Bundesliga or Serie A sides have a notable advantage in 6-18 match ups.

I really am going to try to watch more serie a and bundesliga this year. it just sucks that bundesliga comes on gol tv. i think it would do well on fsc, or even some remote espn numeral.

I feel the same way about Bundesliga.
I watch some here and there but it's really that GOLtv doesn't show many and the video quality is kind of spotty compared to the EPL and Serie A on FSC and FS+.

Comcast is weird... you have to order the sports package for $15 (which I pay for solely for FSC's EPL/USA coverage), and then there is the spanish sports package for an additional $15 or whatever. This includes gol tv, espn deportes, and some other crap.
eta: FURTHERMORE, my FSC isn't in HD. Despite the logo on the corner of the screen that would indicate so.

I'm not sure about everyone's provider's charges but FSC, FSC+ and GOLtv plus DVR is the main reason I care about cable TV at all.

Hmmm I get goltv included in my sports package. But i don't get univision or telefutura. And none are in hd either. I fricking hate comcast

See, I would have directv right now, but it in Nashville directv doesn't support espn3. and i watch the hell out of espn3.

I have Time Warner in NY and have GolTv Univision and Telefutura all in HD but GOL HD broadcasts a LOT of matches that aren't really in HD even though the HD logo is there, especially Bundesliga.
Univision and Telefutura are even worse as I'm not sure I've ever seen an actual HD broadcast on their HD channels here.
FS+ and FSC are worth every penny even if their Serie A commentator(s) can be horrible.
