Just not good enough. We endend the game with a midfield 3 of Sig, Livermore, & Jenas. Parker will help but we need to sort Modric out asap and get a replacement. No point of taking the high road and holding out for more money when it has cost us points 2 years in a row now.

The players on the pitch today have no excuse to not be beating the likes of WBA (fair play to them in the 2nd half though). This group choked last year and just dont seem to be able to get it done. Im tired of waiting for some to go to that next level (Lennon).

Good news is it is early and some time to get a few players in our current ones cant get it done. Hope these results will add some urgency for more players, but doubtful. Parker will be coming back. Now Norwich at home in only week 3 is a MUST win, and we are already 3 points behind last years results at Toon and home to WBA.

Rant over

Really need some help at the top. IDK who AVB has in mind but they need to pull the trigger soon. Defoe and Adebayor may not be able to handle it on their own. Agree that the Spurs need some help since losing Modric and Lennon is well, disappointing. AVB could be in trouble if he cant figure something out. They managed to grab defeat from the jaws of victory today.

Understatement of the century. Lennon is garbage. He can't hold possession, he passes the ball to absolutely no one and just takes ridiculous shots instead of keeping possession. I don't endear stand what anyone sees in the guy. Also I hate that we pull VdV off the pitch so much. He at least helps lead the team to chances in the box. Finishing is another story, but Spurs are a better team when he is on the pitch.

That was AVB's big mistake on that one. Should have been Ade for Defoe. What made this game so frustrating is we saw how good an AVB Spurs side in full flight can be if we could only FINISH, VdV was pivotal in that and like Bale needs to be 90 min player.

Y'all pissed off with Levy?

Looks like he dropped the ball with the Modric fee, didn't he?

Just wish this was done a couple of weeks ago, with really only one suitor it was always gonna be hard to get more than 35 million pounds so 33 isn't too bad. Levy just needs to put that back into the team this week.

With the sales of Niko, Corluka, Pav, Pienaar, Bassong, now Modric and maybe Dawson all this year we have only brought Vertonghen, Ade, and Sig in. There should be plenty of money to get 2-3 quality first team players this week. It is a make or break week for Levy in that regard

I agree, it didn't make much sense to wait so long. I guess we'll never know what Tottenham really got from RM (they say it 27 and not 33).

This looks eerily similar to posts in the Chelsea thread last year.

Well it looks like we got 1 in far this week, from a decent source by the looks of things

LINK

With Dembele in, Lloris close by all accounts, I wonder who else will be coming in. Have heard so many names. Would like Remy or Afellay for our wing cover (and to replace Lennon after a week or 1 half with any luck). Not sold on Willian given his price.

Man City told Marseille to name their price... doubt Tottenham can match.

With this mornings happening, VDV gone, and Moutinho possibly in. What does our starting midfield look like? 4-2-3-1, Dembele,Sandro at defensive mid and then Bale, Moutinho, Sigurdsson advanced?

And now Lloris apparently is at Spurs Lodge. Levy is the man

I'd really like another attacking option over Lennon or Defoe.
