I think the most interesting part of the deal is the bonus if he signs a new deal with Lyon. Usually these new deals remove the buyback or sell on clauses so ensuring compensation no matter what happens with Depay seems like good business.

I give you an A for effort but your numbers are way off and Pogba's stats since the first month of the season has been damn good.
2/10 on the troll.

I mean you can't say with a serious face he's lived up to even a quarter of whatever the fee is
I will say he has games where he looks brilliant, but he also has games, like the Liverpool one for instance, where he looks like a blind 10-year-old running around.
I also wouldn't call his three assists and six goals, which came against Swansea, Leicester, Crystal Palace, Boro and a brace against Fenerbache 'damn good'.
That's like me saying since Nolito has six goals he's living up to that of a 100 mil player.
Regardless, I'm trolling him while I can. Like many others, it can take some time getting used to the EPL. He'll figure it out.

Good thing goals and assist are not the only stats in soccer.
Unless you are a simpleton.
2nd in completed pass ( The player in 1st is know for just playing the ball back and side to side short passes.)
2 in through ball completed.
2nd Highest passing % in the league, meeting the min pass required depending what site you use.
He's just going to get better as he adapts to the English game. He never put up crazy numbers at Juve. Goals and Assists isn't the only way to judge a players impact on the game. Of course 89 million was to much.

This was the problem I mentioned from the beginning about his purchase. He's not gonna score a lot of goals or even bag a lot of assists early on, and people will use that to talk about how overpaid he is. And that may be somewhat true.
But he has been the best player on the field for several of United's matches in this unbeaten run. He's passing the ball extremely well and being a difference maker down the middle.
He just doesn't have the World Player of the Year stats that some think he has to command because of all that money.

He's not even close to his prime years yet
He will be just fine. Plenty of matches this year when he was the best player on the field and it wasn't close. Sunday vs Liverpool not so much.

It's kind of like paying a tight end, wide receiver money or a guard, left tackle money. Their roles are of course important and vital to your success, but someone's build up play is only as good as the guy who puts the ball in the back of the net.
It's a luxury, that if you can afford it, can single handedly steal you a few points each season.

I personally think the the only club he'd leave Atletico for is United because of the possibility to team up with Pogba and literally be a part of the team who brought one the world's biggest clubs back to prominence after a spell of mediocrity.
He's only played at Sociedad (God I miss those Griezmann, Vela, Illarramendi teams) and Atletico so I'd assume Real and Barcelona are not exactly at the top of his list after competing against them for so long.
I thought there was no way in hell Pogba would ever go back to United, but after seeing that, despite the club not being the Champions League or having done shite the last few years, I don't doubt they could pull it off.

Morgan Sanson to OM for 9M. What a steal.

It's not going to happen... but IF Chelsea bought both of them in one season, I don't want to ever hear about United spending too much ever again.

We'd probably net gain after our Oscar and Costa China sells. Why are we so much better than everybody else with money?
